SCREVEN, Ga. – Following an incident in Wayne County, one 13-year-old died and another was injured.
According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, Wayne County E-911 received a report on Tuesday about an accident involving injuries near Hortense Road in Screven.
Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, Jesup Police Department, Wayne County EMS, Screven Fire Department, Georgia MCCD, Georgia Department of Natural Resources, and Georgia State Patrol also responded.

Deputies said that the collision occurred in the Little Satilla Wildlife Management Area.
Wayne Emergency Medical Services transported one of the victims to Wayne Memorial Hospital. That teen passed away in the hospital.
The other victim’s relatives took him to Wayne Memorial Hospital for treatment.
No other information was shared.
