The first NET Rankings of the 2022-23 season were released Monday and the Kentucky Wildcats check in at No. 42 on the list.

The NET is an evaluation tool used to help with seeding for the NCAA Tournament as each opponent on a team’s schedule is broken down into four quadrants.

Kentucky currently owns a 6-2 record on the season with four wins vs. Quad 4 competition and two vs. Quad 2. Meanwhile, both losses to Michigan State and Gonzaga fall into the Quad 1 category.

As the rankings stand, Kentucky has 12 games vs. Quad 1 competition remaining in the regular season so there are opportunities to build a resume.
