I’m convinced that Skip Bayless has something against former Kentucky Wildcat and currently Pelicans forward Anthony Davis.
Bayless, a commentator on Undisputed, called Davis the most overrated player in basketball last week. Those comments make no sense because Davis just posted one of the best single months in NBA history.
Davis became just the second player in NBA history to average 35 points and 10 rebounds per game in a single month (Moses Malone) and he also became just the second player to average 35 points, 2 steals, and 2 blocks in a month, joining the goat himself, Michael Jordan.
Despite averaging 41.6 points and 16.0 rebounds since his first claim that Davis is overrated, Bayless continues to stick with his previous assessment of Davis. He even discussed it again on Undisputed earlier this week.
Bayless is so delusional that he even takes the credit for inspiring Davis to start winning basketball games, rather than his fantasy basketball league. Check out the following tweets by Bayless and you can listen to his comments about Davis in the podcast link below. His comments led off the show.
My issue with Anthony Davis for the last 3 years has been that all his fantasy-basketball stats don’t translate into winning. Thru his 1st 5 NBA years, LeBron had 26 playoff wins w/ “no help.” Thru AD’s 1st 5 years, ZERO playoff wins. Too many empty calories. AD isn’t That Guy.

Thru LeBron’s 1st 5 1/2 seasons, his Cavs were 67 games over .500. Thru Anthony Davis’ 1st 5 1/2 seasons, his N.O. teams are 35 games UNDER .500. AD is not having superstar impact despite spectacular stats.
