NEW CASTLE COUNTY, Del. – A car crash near Newark, Delaware, has left five people in the hospital, including three children and a police officer.
According to New Castle County police, the officer was heading eastbound on Christiana Road at Thomas Garrett Drive when a car crossed the grass strip and collided with his car.
According to officials, the other vehicle carried three youngsters and one adult. They were all transported to the hospital in critical condition. The police officer is in stable condition.
The New Castle County Division of Police Traffic Services Unit went to the site and is now investigating.
