An accident in downtown Los Angeles near the popular fashion area injured nine people, several of them were youngsters, according to authorities.
Details are scant, and it’s unclear what happened, but footage submitted to the Citizen App shows a minivan colliding with a structure on the sidewalk in the 300 block of East 12th Street near Santee Alley, an outdoor shopping location in the region.
Crews from the Los Angeles Fire Department arrived at the scene about 3:15 p.m. and could be seen cordoning off the area with yellow tape.

At least one individual was seen being treated by LAFD medical staff at the collision site.
According to LAFD, all of the victims, six adults and three children, were transported to the hospital in fair condition.
Officials with the Los Angeles Police Department warned citizens in a post on X, formerly Twitter, to expect delays on 12th Street between Maple and Santee streets while LAPD Central Traffic Division investigators worked the area.
In an update to KTLA just after 5 p.m., police stated there was no evidence that drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash, and nothing to suggest the collision was deliberate.
