July 4, 2025, military flyover schedule for Independence Day celebrations around Oregon

In observance of Independence Day, Portland Air Base’s F-15 Eagle fighter jets will fly over the following sites and times on Friday:

10:05 a.m. Oswego Lake.

Hollywood Neighborhood, Portland, 10:08 a.m.

10:14 a.m. Yacolt, Washington.

Ridgefield, WA, 11:00 a.m.

Clatskanie at 11:06.

11:13 a.m. Rilea Camp, Warrenton.

Manzanita, 11:18 a.m.

At Rockaway Beach, 11:21 a.m.

11.27 Neskowin.

11:36 a.m. Mount Angel.

11:42 a.m. Mill City.

Stayton, 11:46 a.m.

Turner, 11:50 a.m.

A.M. Monmouth, 11:52.

It is 12:03 in the Happy Valley.

In the meantime, the 173rd Fighter Wing, based at Klamath Falls’ Kingsley Field, will also fly over southern Oregon and northern California on July 4 at the following times:

Downtown Ashland at 9:35 a.m.

Central Point, 9:45 am.

Dorris, California, 10:05 a.m.

Main Street, Klamath Falls, 10:10 a.m.

10:20 a.m. Resort at Lake of the Woods.

Eagle Point, in the morning.

Diamond Lake Resort at 10:40 a.m.

10:50 a.m. Brookings Harbor Port.

11:00 a.m. Gold Beach Port.

Harrisburg at 11:00 a.m.

Oregon Avenue, Creswell, 11:10 a.m.

11:35 a.m. Chiloquin City.

The planes will reach 400 mph, and all flyovers will be at least 1,000 feet in the air.

The U.S. Air Force’s only F-15C pilot training facility is located in Klamath Falls, home of the 173rd Fighter Wing.

The Portland Air National Guard Base, which is close to Portland International Airport, is home to the 142nd Wing.

In a news release, 142nd Wing fighter pilot Col. Daniel McAllister stated, “I hope we remind people at those parades and celebrations that it takes tremendous sacrifice and dedication by our military service members to ensure the freedom we all enjoy every day.”

The Air Combat Command and the North American Aerospace Defense Command both utilize the 142nd Wing’s F-15 Eagle fighter jets to patrol from northern California to Canada.
