Suspect in Yamhill County stabbing dies after being shot by deputy

According to the Newberg-Dundee authorities Department, the individual who authorities think stabbed several individuals in Sheridan on Monday night passed away after being shot by a Yamhill County sheriff’s officer.

Deputies were called to a disturbance in the 900 block of Southeast Sheridan Road in Sheridan, a tiny city in Yamhill County, at approximately 7 p.m. According to police, one of the deputies shot the suspect as he was waving a knife, and they discovered two stabbing victims at the site.

Later, the suspect—whose name has not been made public—was declared dead.

The stabbing victims and the deputy who shot his firearm have not been made public.

According to Newberg-Dundee Police, the stabbing victims were transported to a hospital for medical attention. Details on the severity of their injuries were not disclosed by officials.
