The 2025–2026 Oregon State women’s basketball team roster is finalized.
The Beavers announced on Wednesday that they had signed Spanish forward Lara Alonso-Basurto to take coach Scott Rueck’s 15th and last roster place.
Along with Lucia Navarro and Cloe Vecina, Alonso-Basurto is the third Spanish player to join the Beavers as a freshman.
“We are extremely happy that Lara decided to join our program,” Rueck stated in a news release. She can finish near the rim with both hands and shoot the three, making her a versatile forward. Her length gives her a powerful defensive presence, and on the offensive end, she can finish through contact.
Alonso-Basurto, who is 6-3, is a left-handed shooter with quick feet who plays inside-out. In June, she declared her dedication to the Beavers.

Alonso-Basurto helped CB Alcobendas and Distrito Ol mpico advance to the second division of Spanish basketball by playing professionally for them in Madrid in the third division. She has also played for the national under-18 3×3 squad of Spain.
