Man dead in SE Portland stabbing, police say

A man was found dead inside a Southeast Portland home on Sunday afternoon, officials said.

Police officers responded to a call Sunday around 3:19 p.m. reporting a stabbing inside a home in the 11400 block of Southeast Boise Street. When officers arrived, they found the man dead at the scene.

About 40 minutes later, officers contacted by phone a man they suspected to be involved in the stabbing and later detained him. Police said they are not searching for other suspects. They did not release any more information about the stabbing and have not publicly identified the victim or the suspect.

The Portland Police Homicide Unit is investigating, and anyone with information about the case can contact Detective Jennifer Hertzler at
