Teen Worker Dies in Meat Grinder Accident at California Frozen Burrito Factory

Sunday, a young man was cleaning a meat grinder at a facility in California that produces a well-known brand of frozen burritos when the machine abruptly went on, causing him to be pulled inside the machine and ultimately causing his death.

During the time that the fatal accident took place, the victim, who has not been identified, was working at the Tina’s Burritos food processing business in Vernon as a member of the after-hours sanitation crew, as stated by the Vernon Police Department.

Daniel Onopa, a Sergeant with the Vancouver Police Department, stated that he was cleaning the meat grinder when it suddenly triggered and sucked him within at approximately 9:30 p.m.

When other employees attempted to turn off the machine, they reported hearing the teenager yelling for assistance. However, they were unable to do so.

The authorities arrived at the scene quickly, but inside the grinder they discovered the body of a 19-year-old boy.

It is the responsibility of the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health to conduct an investigation into the tragic death of the worker and to attempt to determine what could have abruptly activated the meat grinder.

The police, on the other hand, do not detect any misconduct.

A factory worker in Pennsylvania was killed in a catastrophe that was quite similar to the one that occurred in 2019, when she was either dragged into a meat grinder or fell into it. The woman, who was 35 years old at the time of the incident, had been working on a moving ladder that was six feet high before she was inadvertently caught in the machine.

After breaking down the machine and removing her damaged body from it, it took the cops around forty-five minutes to complete the task.

A physical therapist was killed in a separate but equally horrifying tragedy that occurred at work just a week ago. The disaster occurred when a hyperbaric chamber at his business in Arizona unexpectedly erupted into flames, causing the therapist to be roasted alive inside the chamber.

When the chamber caught fire, Dr. Walter Foxcroft, who was 43 years old at the time, was inside it. The chamber is a sealed enclosure that has adjustable oxygen levels and is frequently utilized by medical professionals to assist their patients with cognitive and physical rehabilitation.
