Portland police say
four teens were stabbed
at an early morning rave along the Eastbank Esplanade in Southeast Portland
on Saturday
. They arrested a 19-year-old on suspicion of assault.
Officers say several fights broke out near the riverfront at Southeast Salmon Street where hundreds attended a pop-up outdoor rave. Police responded to a call about a stabbing at the party around 3:30 a.m. and found four people with knife wounds: three men in their late teens and one teenage boy. Two had serious injuries that were not life-threatening, police said, and the other two had minor wounds.
Officers arrested one of the injured men, Peter Chalukian of Hillsboro, in connection with the stabbings. He is detained at the Multnomah County Detention Center on suspicion of assault and unlawful use of a weapon.
