Next week, the first site of a cafe known for its “exceptional brunch experience” will open in the Rio Grande Valley.
On April 21, the Another Broken Egg Cafe will open in McAllen at 7913 N. 10th St. The business is open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Sunday.
A news release says that the cafe is famous for its chef-driven menu, which includes interesting Southern-inspired meals as well as signature cocktails and mocktails. Shrimp ‘N Grits, chicken and waffles, a lobster and brie omelette, and huevo rancheros will all be on the main menu at the McAllen site.
The release said that businessman Al Trevino, businessman Ramiro Garza, and Rene Capistran, a veteran of the military with more than 25 years of experience in building, will run the restaurant together.
“We saw a great chance to give people in McAllen a unique brunch experience led by a chef.” “We want our guests to feel at home as soon as they walk through the door, whether they’re sipping a handcrafted cocktail or mocktail on our patio or sharing a Southern-inspired meal with family and friends,” Trevino said in the release. “We’re excited to make a place where people from the community can feel welcome and enjoy a higher-quality meal together.”
There are plans to open three more Another Broken Egg Cafe locations in the Valley, but the news release didn’t say when or where they would open.
“McAllen’s lively community and long history of hospitality make it the perfect spot for Another Broken Egg Cafe,” said Jeff Sturgis, the brand’s chief development officer, in a news release. “Al, Ramiro, and Rene are as passionate about great food as we are, and their commitment to the area makes them perfect partners for our growth in South Texas.” We can’t wait to see how they improve things in McAllen and beyond.
