La Cosina Restaurant Marks 60 Years of Serving the Community

La Cosina, a well-known and loved restaurant in Boca Raton, will be celebrating 60 years of serving the area with its unique mix of great food, real family recipes, and warm hospitality on May 1, 2025. This important event shows how long the restaurant has been around and how dedicated the Casados family has been. They have been running La Cosina from the same cozy spot at 745 South Third Street since it opened in 1965.

A big part of La Cosina is Bernie and Carlos Casados, who work together behind the stove. The Casados are known for their dedication and passion. They treat every dish with care and follow the family custom. Their food, like their homemade tortillas and sopapillas and enchiladas covered in red and green chile, is a reflection of generations of New Mexican history. Both regulars and newcomers enjoy it.

As comforting as the food is, the atmosphere at La Cosina is warm, friendly, and full of smells that make many people think of their grandparents’ home. There is a lot of laughter and talking going on inside, making it a real community hub. It’s not a surprise that La Cosina has been the place to celebrate important events, catch up with old friends, or just have a quiet meal with family and friends for sixty years.

La Cosina is currently open on Thursdays and Fridays from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Once a week, people can go there to enjoy a real New Mexican meal in a friendly atmosphere where everyone is treated like family.

The Casados family wants everyone in Raton to join them in celebrating this amazing trip as the 60th anniversary gets closer. La Cosina promises a memorable meal full of love, history, and custom, whether you’ve been going there for years or this is your first time.

We look forward to another 60 years of great food, friends, and family at La Cosina.
