Pittsburgh Weather Alert: Widespread Rain Expected Throughout the Day

Pittsburgh Weather Alert: Widespread Rain Expected Throughout the Day

Today, it’s going to rain a lot in the Pittsburgh area.

Are There Any Warning Days Ahead? There is a chance of bad weather on both Thursday and Friday.

Be aware that flood watches may need to be put in place today if it rains more than expected.

Yesterday, it rained again, ending five days in a row of nice weather with no rain. The rain keeps coming down today, and it will last for almost the whole day. The morning and afternoon are going to have steady to light rain.

This evening’s heavy rain should end around 6 p.m., and showers will happen here and there for the rest of the day. On Wednesday, it’s likely to rain again.

I think that most places got about three quarters of an inch of rain from yesterday to today. I think the overall amount of rain will be about an inch if you count Wednesday.

The lows this morning are in the low 60s, and the highs today will be in the upper 60s. After 6 p.m., it will be cloudy and rainy all the time. This afternoon, winds from the east will reach about 15 mph, making it a little windy.

Thursday and Friday will still have a chance of rain, but that chance will come from afternoon to evening storm chances. On the Thursday severe weather risk map, we are already shown as having a minor level 1 out of 5 risk. It looks like we will also be on the high risk map for Friday. On both days, the biggest worry is the strong wind.

On Wednesday, highs should rise to around 70 degrees. The highs will be in the 80s on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. On Sunday, it won’t be as warm; it will only get to the mid-70s, and it looks like it will be dry all day.
