Oregon is the No. 1 seed in the Big Ten tournament and begins pool play against No. 12 seed Michigan State at 4 p.m. Thursday at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Neb. UO is also scheduled to face No. 8 seed Nebraska at 4 p.m. Friday. The winner of the three-team pool advances to the tournament semifinals at noon Saturday.
The Ducks are a season-high No. 12 in RPI, with a 9-1 record in Quadrant 1 games, but 22-9 in Quadrant 3 and 7-3 in Quadrant 4.
The Ducks are hitting .294 on the season with a conference-best 107 home runs, with Mason Neville’s 26 home runs continuing to lead the country. UO’s 4.00 team ERA leads the Big Ten and ranks 14th nationally.
