Alaska’s $1,700 Stimulus Payments Set to Arrive Soon – Are You Eligible

Stimulus payments are one item that we absolutely do not mind. Their presence in one’s bank account is usually appreciated. Upon receiving their $1,700 stimulus grant, residents of a specific state will be ecstatic.

Make sure to check the payment date to find out when you will be laughing all the way to the bank, and see if you are eligible for these payments today as well.

Known as the “Last Frontier,” Alaska is a truly special state with stunning landscapes and natural treasures. The state is renowned for a specific payment programme that provides financial aid to thousands of its citizens, in addition to its distinctive geography. With planned payments, this summer will not be an exception.

Since the Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend’s inception in 1982, residents have received a total of $31.3 billion in benefits. Yeah, that’s a lot of extra money to have on hand. Funding for the programme comes from the state’s mining and oil income. Fund returns and oil prices determine the size of the stimulus payments, which fluctuate annually.

Only these citizens will be eligible

You could have earned a substantial sum of money over the course of your lifetime if you had lived in Alaska your entire life. Since 1982, the Alaska Permanent Fund has been distributed to the people of Alaska.

Residents have earned an average of $1,229 per year since the program’s inception, which is around $4,916 for a family of four. In this instance, eligible citizens will get $1,702 in compensation.

There are no states in the United States that will pay you to live there save Alaska. The following requirements must be fulfilled in order to be eligible for the stimulus funds, according to the Alaska Department of Revenue:

  • You spent 2024 living in Alaska.
  • You intend to settle down permanently in Alaska.
  • You have never had a felony conviction or been imprisoned for one.
  • Except for permitted absences, you haven’t left the state in over 180 days.
  • Your Permanent Fund Dividend application was successfully submitted on March 31.
  • The system indicates that you are “Eligible-Not Paid.”

Given the escalating cost of living, tariffs, and inflation, we’re willing to wager that a number of Alaskans will mark the payment date on their calendars.

Make sure that this date is marked in your calendar

You can proceed as soon as the system displays “Eligible-Not Paid” as your status. Don’t worry, even though some fortunate individuals have already gotten their rewards from earlier in June. Another batch of payments will be made this month and in August. Make sure to mark the following dates in your calendar:

  • On July 17, 2025, you will receive payment if your status is “Eligible-Not Paid” as of July 9.
  • On August 21, 2025, you will receive payment if your status is “Eligible-Not Paid” as of August 13.

It’s not a huge deal if you don’t know your application status right now. The “myPFD” interface allows you to check the status of your application, according to the Alaska Department of Revenue. During your visit, make sure your residential address is current. A change of address form must be submitted if your address is out of date.

The Alaska Permanent Fund programme is a worthwhile endeavour that offers many citizens a much-needed boost during a period when financial stability is no longer guaranteed. Similar initiatives to offer financial assistance to their inhabitants, such as inflation rebate checks or other stimulus payments, are in place in many other states.

The next payment round is just four days away for those who qualify!
