Anthony Davis Pledges $350,000 to Kentucky Flood Relief

UK Athletics

Kentucky basketball hosted the Kentucky Flood Relief Telethon at Rupp Arena Tuesday night, raising more than $2 Million for those affected by flooding in eastern Kentucky.

Not long after the telethon ended, John Calipari announced an additional donation to the fund.

Calipari announced on social media that Anthony Davis had pledged $350,000 toward the relief efforts.

The UK coach didn’t want to ask his former players to donate since they had helped with relief efforts aster the devastating tornadoes that struck western Kentucky last December.

Instead, it was Davis that reached out Tuesday night.

“After watching all of the devastation and — knowing what our players did tonight — he has offered to give $350,000 to the Kentucky Flood Relief,” Calipari tweeted. “That’s servant leadership in action, that’s staying connected to this program and this state. Love you, Ant.”
