The Associated Press, voted on by those who cover SEC schools for the outlet, released their mid-season honors for the SEC Wednesday.
The AP named the Kentucky coach the Coach of the First Half for the Wildcats 6-1 start to the season.
With a strong finish in the final five games, the Wildcats are on track for a major Bowl game, something the program hasn’t experienced in a long time.
If the Wildcats close strong, Stoops will be in the conversation for National Coach of the Year in a couple of months.
