It took a few weeks but movement is finally happening with Kentucky’s roster for next season.

Bryce Hopkins is the latest decision as the freshman forward announced Thursday that he is entering the transfer portal after one season in Lexington. Dontaie Allen was the first player to enter the portal from Kentucky, announcing his decision in late March.

While two players have hit the transfer portal, Keion Brooks Jr. and TyTy Washington declared for the NBA Draft.

Brooks left open the return to college next season, whether that be at Kentucky or somewhere else. Meanwhile, Washington decided to forgo his remaining eligibility, ending his college basketball career.

Oscar Tshiebwe and Shaedon Sharpe still have to make decisions regarding their future. Those two are easily the most impactful decisions about the roster next season.

What we know is that Kentucky has two five-star McDonald’s All-Americans entering the program next season – Cason Wallace and Chris Livingston. Outside of that duo, everything else is unknown when it comes to new additions.

That said, a new target is starting to emerge for the Wildcats, according to multiple reports Thursday.

Norchad Omier, a transfer from Arkansas State, is a possible addition to the Kentucky men’s basketball program.

Omier, a 6-foot-7 forward, averaged 17.9 points and 12.2 rebounds for Arkansas State last season, where he was named Sun Belt Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year.
