Austin MacGinnis is Now the Leader for Points in a Career

Austin MacGinnis has had an excellent career for the Wildcats and he can now say he is the best kicker to ever wear the blue and white. During the first half, MacGinnis connected on field goals of 21 and 35 yards, but his extra point following a Benny Snell 71-yard touchdown run is a kick he will remember.

The second field goal tied MacGinnis with Lones Seiber for the school record in points at 305 for his career. The extra point with 5:36 remaining in the 2nd quarter, gave him the all-time lead in career points at 306.

MacGinnis has had an unbelievable career for the Wildcats and I’m sure he will add a lot more points to that career total. Whoever has the task of filling his shoes, they will be replacing the leading scorer and best kicker in UK history.

Kentucky currently leads Missouri, 20-14 at the half. The game is available on the SEC Network.
