The San Luis Obispo Police Department said in a news release on Wednesday that four people from San Luis Obispo were arrested last month on suspicion of running a drug house. Police found a lot of meth, fentanyl, LSD, and more than $3,000 in cash.
Shane Parker, 38, was caught for the first time on March 20 after police searched a car that was stopped on Santa Rosa Street near the Meinecke intersection.
Parker was caught with a felony warrant because he was thought to be selling a controlled drug. He also had a “substantial” amount of cash on him, and cops said they found a small amount of fentanyl in the trunk of the car.
His court records show that he was charged with that crime, as well as obstructing a police officer and having drug tools in January, all related to an event in July. At this point, it’s not clear if the felony arrest had anything to do with the January filing.
News release said the search order went on to the home Parker lived in on the 800 block of Murray Avenue.
The police found 50 grams of methamphetamine, 56 grams of fentanyl, LSD tabs, and two jars of a liquid solvent used to make DMT, a drug that causes hallucinations. The SLO County chemical team went to the scene to make sure the liquid could be safely collected.
Inside the house, police also found scales, more cash, a stun gun, a metal stick called a “billy club,” and brass knuckles.
Parker was taken to the San Luis Obispo County Jail on suspicion of running a drug house, having metal knuckles, two counts of selling drugs and having a previous conviction for selling drugs, all of which are felonies, as well as having a stun gun, which is a misdemeanor.
As of Wednesday, Parker was no longer in the care of the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office.
The news report said that three other people who lived on Murray Avenue were also arrested.
William Phelps, 45; Shannon Sanda, 40; and Evan Dyer, 39; were all taken on suspicion of running a drug house illegally. Phelps and Sanda were also arrested on suspicion of having a felony drug conviction and possession of a controlled substance. Phelps was also suspected of having a felony drug conviction for sale.
As of Wednesday, none of them were in jail.
As of Wednesday evening, court records show that the San Luis Obispo County District Attorney’s Office has not yet officially charged any of the suspects.
