Bentley University Senior Dies in Balcony Fall During Bahamas Trip

Authorities at the school say the senior student fell off a balcony while on their yearly senior class trip.

An surprising death happened at Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts, on Sunday night. It was caused by a “tragic accident” that happened during a class trip to the Bahamas, according to university officials.

A statement from the university says that Gaurav Jaisingh, an undergraduate from Shrewsbury, fell off a balcony by mistake while on a trip with his senior class to the Bahamas.

A statement from the Royal Bahamas Police Force said that Jaisingh was living in his hotel room on Paradise Island with his roommates at about 10 o’clock at night when he allegedly fell from an upper-level balcony.

In the future, he was found on a lower floor not responding.

The Royal Bahamas Police Force says that even though Jaisingh was taken to the hospital by emergency workers, he did not survive his injuries and died on the way there. The cops are now looking into what happened when he died.

His LinkedIn page says that Jaisingh went to Bentley University and majored in finance while also getting a minor in computer information systems. He was also a brother in the fraternity Delta Sigma Pi, a leader in the introduction process, and a representative for getting people into college.

In a statement made by the university, they said that they will help anyone who has been affected by Jaisingh’s death and needs it by providing resources and counseling.

The organization has said that more details will be shared when they become available, “respecting the privacy of his family.”

The school said in a statement, “We send our deepest condolences to Gaurav’s family, friends, and loved ones.” “This is a terrible tragedy for our community.”

The actual commencement ceremony for Bentley’s first-year students is this coming weekend.
