BREAKING: Iowa Transfer CJ Fredrick to Transfer to Kentucky

Iowa transfer CJ Fredrick is transferring to Kentucky, he announced Wednesday.

The 6-foot-3, 195-pound guard from Cincinnati is a big addition to Kentucky’s 2021-22 roster. He led the Big Ten in three-point shooting as a freshman, connecting on 47 of 102 attempts (46.1 percent). He was even better as a sophomore, shooting 47.4 percent from deep.

Fredrick is the third transfer Kentucky has added for next season, joining West Virginia transfer Oscar Tshiebwe and Davidson transfer Kellan Grady.

Fredrick will have three years of eligibility remaining if he chooses to use the NCAA’s COVID blanket waiver following his senior season.
