Contract Killer Who Murdered 4 in 9 Months Sentenced: ‘Without a Doubt a Danger to Society’

A guy in Pennsylvania was given a sentence for his part in killing four men for money in less than a year, from late 2018 to mid-2019. According to a story Steven M. Williams, 30, will spend more than 40 years in prison.

It was in December that he admitted to three counts of murder and planning to kill someone. The office of the state’s attorney general says he had something to do with the deaths of four men in Philadelphia:

  • 35 years old, on September 8, 2018, in the 1900 block of Hartel Avenue
  • 39 years old, on February 10, 2019, in the 7500 block of Forest Avenue in West Oak Lane
  • Richard Isaac, 31, on March 25, 2019, in Mount Airy in the 100 block of East Meehan Street
  • 39-year-old Leslie Carroll on May 4, 2019, at 20th Street and Girard Avenue in Fairmount Online obituaries and other news sources said he was 46 years old, but the DA’s office said he was 39.

The Attorney General, Michelle Henry, said in December, “This defendant cruelly killed people for money as a hired killer.” “There is no doubt that the defendant is a threat to society. We will ask the court for a sentence that protects the community.”

When Williams was caught in 2020, Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner said that the suspect was paid a lot of money to kill people.

He has been committing violent crimes against our neighbourhoods without a reason for more than two years, but Krasner said that will stop today. “I want to thank the Philadelphia Police Department for their investigation and the Homicide Unit in my office for moving this case forward.” We will work as quickly as possible to bring him to justice and help the families of his victims who have been grieving for years, even though most court functions have been cancelled.
