Kentucky’s 2021 recruiting class got even stronger Saturday when five-star forward Daimion Collins announced his decision.
The 6-foot-9 forward from Atlanta, Texas, announced his commitment to Kentucky, joining four-star guard Nolan Hickman and four-star forward Bryce Hopkins as members of the Wildcats 2021 class. Kentucky’s other commitment, Skyy Clark, is still a member of the 2022 class.
Collins’ commitment to Kentucky is a direct result of the hiring of Kentucky assistant coach Jai Lucas. The former assistant coach at Texas was Collins’ primary recruiter when he was still on staff with the Longhorns.
Collins chose Kentucky over Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and Texas Tech. He is the No. 19 player nationally, according to the 247 Sports Composite.
