Creighton transfer Davion Mintz announced his commitment to Kentucky Friday.
As a junior, Mintz averaged 9.7 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists while knocking down 43 three-pointers and swiping 40 steals.
Mintz made the announcement at 10:17 a.m. ET. Friday morning. Why is the time of his announcement significant? It was intentional.
Mintz told Jeff Borzello of ESPN the following.
“Those are numbers that always pop out to me. They are just always everywhere. Could be an address, time on the clock in the game, actual time. It’s been happening for years. Coach Cal offered me at that time as well.”
That’s fascinating for sure.
