WASHINGTON ( GBBC ) — Police in the District said they are still searching for suspects involved in an assault that happened nearly two months ago in Southeast D.C.
In the early hours of Dec. 23, 2024, officers with the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to a home in the 2900 block of 30th Street SE.
The victim told officers she was assaulted by a group of suspects during an argument. During the assault, police said one of the suspects grabbed a hammer and hit her in the head.

The suspects fled while the victim was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Nearly two months after the assault, MPD arrested 25-year-old Danea Skinner of Northwest D.C. She was charged with Assault With A Dangerous Weapon.
Police said they are still looking for the other suspects involved.
