Evansville Transfer DeAndre Williams has UK on his List

A new transfer target has emerged for John Calipari and Kentucky.

DeAndre Williams, a transfer from Evansville, included Kentucky in his top four schools, according to Corey Evans of Rivals.

The 6-foot-9 sophomore will be forced to sit out a year after appearing in 18 games for the Purple Aces last season, unless he is granted a waiver or the one-time transfer rule passes. He averaged 15.2 points, 6.9 rebounds, 2.7 assists while shooting 45-percent from three-point range last season. A back injury shortened his sophomore season to 18 games.

Williams had 9 points, 6 rebounds, and three assists in Evansville’s win vs. Kentucky.

According to Rivals, Evans will decide between Arkansas, Baylor, Kentucky, and Memphis.
