Watch: Devin Askew Says he wants to Win a National Championship at UK

Kentucky picked up a commitment from Devin Askew Thursday night, the No. 1 point guard and No. 10 player in the 2021 class.

Askew made his announcement via a video posted to the SportsCenter social media accounts. The 6-foot-3 guard picked Kentucky over Arizona, Louisville and Memphis.

The UK commit is currently a member of the 2021 class but a move to 2020 is likely in the future. Askew’s father told Evan Daniels on Wednesday they will look into a reclassification following the high school basketball season.

In the video below, Askew talks about his decision to commit to Kentucky.

“I chose Kentucky because I feel like Coach Cal and all the assistant coaches have my best interest and will help me get to my goals,” said Askew. “Some things I would like to accomplish at the University of Kentucky is to win a national championship and become better as a player to improve to become a pro.”
