BANDERA COUNTY, Texas—The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a tragic incident involving two automobiles in Bandera County.
Around 2 p.m. on Thursday, DPS troopers responded to State Highway 16 South near Purple Sage Road, across from the Bandera Landing Strip, on reports of a two-vehicle crash.
According to the preliminary investigation, a 2019 Dodge Ram 2500 was traveling southbound on SH-16 when a 1999 Toyota Tacoma came onto the road from private property, colliding with the Dodge truck.
DPS reports that the driver of the Toyota was pronounced dead on the site.
