Driver Killed in Head-on Collision on Highway 113 in Solano County, DUI Suspected

A driver is suspected of DUI following a head-on incident that killed the driver of another car on a rural Solano County highway, authorities said Tuesday night.

The incident occurred just before 7:45 p.m. on northbound Highway 113 at Hay Road, and both drivers were the only occupants of their vehicles, according to California Highway Patrol Solano.

This is approximately nine miles south of Dixon on Highway 113.

The deceased’s identity is currently unknown. The surviving driver sustained minor injuries.

Highway 113 between Hay and Fry roads was closed in both directions as a result of the incident.
