LONG BEACH, Calif. – On Friday, a guy led authorities from the Los Angeles Police Department on a chase in a flatbed truck across several locations of Southern California, hitting several automobiles before being apprehended.
According to NBC Los Angeles, the chase began near the University of Southern California in Exposition Park and concluded in Long Beach. The truck was allegedly stolen, and the address on the side was for a Chula Vista firm.
Aerial footage from NBC LA showed the motorist traveling the wrong way at times, sideswiping multiple vehicles and causing tire damage by driving along a concrete embankment.
Just before the chase stopped, the truck collided violently with a vehicle that had the right of way in an intersection. The vehicle continued till it came to a stop in front of a store. The driver exited the truck and strolled normally for a few blocks before being apprehended by many officers.
Additional information about the damage and injuries caused by the suspect was not immediately available. According to drone footage, first responders assisted at least one casualty into an ambulance after the truck collided with their vehicle.
