One of the top young players in college softball, and one of Oregon’s best high school players ever, is headed east.
On Thursday, Bend Senior High School alumna Addisen Fisher announced that she is transferring to the University of Georgia after spender her freshman year at UCLA.

Fisher was named a finalist for the
National Fastpitch Coaches Association Freshman of the Year award
. This season, she pitched in 32 games and started 16 times. She recorded a 16-2 record with one save and had a 2.59 earned run average. She allowed 105 hits, 50 runs, walked 41 batters and struck out 100.
She also recorded a no-hitter on March 26 against Brown, allowing just one walk and striking out six in five innings.
Fisher was also named to the Big Ten All-Freshman Team, the NFCA All-West Region First Team and was a D1Softball First Team Freshman All-American.
UCLA went 55-13 in the 2024-25 school year, tying for second in the Big Ten. The Bruins’ season ended on June 1 against Tennessee in the Women’s College World Series.
While in Oregon, Fisher was one of the best high school players in the state for years. A two-way star for the Lava Bears, Fisher helped the team accumulate a 97-12 record over four seasons. Bend won the
Class 5A state championship in 2024
.
She was a three-time Gatorade Softball Player of the Year in Oregon, and was the Gatorade National Softball Player of the Year in 2024. She was considered to be the top recruit in the nation in the class of 2024.
In the 2024-25 school year, Georgia went 35-23 (finishing 12th in the SEC) and ended the season with a loss to Florida in the Super Regional.
