Heat returns for weekend, gets worse following week: Portland metro weather

It’s heating back up.

After two warm, pleasant days, the hot weather is returning to the Portland metro area.

Friday is expected to reach 89 degrees Fahrenheit and be sunny. Saturday will be about the same, and then the temperature will move up to around 92 degrees on Sunday, the

National Weather Service predicts

Next week will feature an “Extreme Heat Watch,” with Monday expected to top out at 84 degrees, Tuesday at 95 and Wednesday at 97.

No rain for as far as the weather experts’ eyes can see.
