Tuesday will stay hot in Minnesota because there is still a high risk of fire and the air quality is still bad.
The whole state of Minnesota, except for the Twin Cities and southeastern Minnesota, will be under a red flag warning because of dangerous fire weather conditions caused by high temperatures, low humidity, and strong winds. Three big flames are still going strong in northeastern Minnesota.
There will be an ozone pollution watch for most of the state from noon to 9 p.m., which includes the Twin Cities.
Even with those warnings, Tuesday will bring more sunshine and heat to Minnesota. The metro will once again get close to 90 degrees.
Also on Wednesday, it will be dry and warm, but on Thursday, a big change will happen: a storm system will come through and end the heat. The high temperature will drop to the 60s by Friday, and there will be strong winds.
The weekend is going to be crisp and cool, with afternoon highs in the lower to mid-60s.
