Isaiah Jackson Broke a Kentucky Shot Block Record that was Set in 1994

Kentucky has lost two consecutive games, but freshman forward Isaiah Jackson is a bright spot for the Wildcats to build momentum around.

Jackson totaled 7 points, 12 rebounds, and 8 blocks in the loss to Kansas Tuesday night in the Champions Classic.

Jackson’s 8 blocks set a new UK record for most blocks by a player against an AP Poll team ranked in the top ten. The previous UK record was held by Andre Riddick, who rejected 7 shots vs. No. 1 Arkansas on March 12, 1994.

Additionally, Jackson is the third player in UK history to have at least 12 rebounds and 8 blocks in a game, joining Sam Bowie and Anthony Davis.
