James Paxton Becomes First Canadian to Throw No-Hitter in Canada

Seattle Mariners left hander James Paxton threw a no-hitter vs. the Toronto Blue Jays Tuesday night, the third no-hitter in the major leagues this season.

 

Paxton, a former Kentucky Wildcat, became the second Canadian to throw a no-hitter, and the first to do so in Canada.

 



 

Paxton struck out 7 Blue Jays and walked three. In his previous outing, he struck out 16 vs. Oakland. In his last two games, Paxton has pitched 17 innings of scoreless baseball while striking out 23 hitters.
