John Calipari Announces Isaiah Briscoe’s Father has Passed Away

John Calipari shared sad news before Kentucky’s exhibition matchup with Georgetown College on Sunday.

The UK coach took to social media moments before the game to ask the BBN to remember Isaiah Briscoe and his family in their thoughts and prayers. Briscoe’s father, George Briscoe, has passed away.

Briscoe spent two seasons at Kentucky before leaving after his sophomore year to pursue a professional career.

BBN, be sure to say a prayer for Isaiah and his family.

George Briscoe, Isaiah’s father, passed away. He was one of the great fathers of any player that I’ve coached here. He loved his son, yet he let me coach him. I loved him and I’m going to miss him.
