Earlier this week, former Wildcat Karl-Anthony Towns became the first player in NBA history to score 5,000+ points, grab 2,500+ rebounds, and make 250 3-pointers in the first three seasons of an NBA career.
John Calipari saw the statistic pop up on his Twitter feed on Friday and he decided to have some fun with it. The UK head coach tweeted, “Great, now Karl-Anthony Towns is going to tell me I held him back.”
Towns finally saw the tweet from Calipari on Saturday and jokingly replied, “I BEEN TELLING YOU THIS.”
