John Calipari Regrets not having a shootaround Saturday before Tennessee

John Calipari

After compiling a 26-7 record this season, Kentucky earned a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament, where they open with a matchup vs. No. 15 Saint Peters.

John Calipari’s Wildcats will be in the East Region, where they open with first and second-round matchups in Indianapolis. If they advance, the regional will be played at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.

The UK coach met with local media Sunday night after the bracket was revealed to discuss Kentucky’s draw.

While the NCAA Tournament is the main focus, Calipari is mad at himself for the way he approached Kentucky’s SEC Semifinal matchup vs. Tennessee.

Calipari regrets his decision to not have a pregame shootaround Saturday morning. Kentucky shot a frigid 2-of-20 from three-point range in the 69-62 loss to the Volunteers.

The UK coach discussed not having a shootaround before the game.
