John Calipari is watching Reed Sheppard in person for the first time.

Sheppard is playing in the Adidas event in Birmingham this weekend, where Calipari and the UK staff are evaluating talent.

Ben Roberts of the Herald-Leader and other analysts are covering the event.

Roberts reports that Calipari and assistant coaches Orlando Antigua, Chin Coleman, and Jai Lucas are watching the North Laurel star.
