Kahlil Whitney Says Kentucky is Coming for Number 9 this Season

Big Blue Madness is only six weeks away and the Kentucky men’s basketball team continues to put in work before official practice begins in October.

Since players arrived on campus in June, the 2019-2020 Wildcats have been working hard in the gym and weight room to prepare for the season. If you follow the players on social media you will see plenty of Instagram stories of them in the gym with their teammates early in the morning and late at night.

Kahlil Whitney is one of the most active players when it comes to social media. The former McDonald’s All-American has garnered a lot of praise during the preseason, leading some to believe he can work his way into a top 5 NBA draft pick after this season.

While that is definitely a goal of his, Whitney hasn’t been shy to say the Wildcats are aiming to win a national championship.

Whitney took to Instagram following the Cats first workout since classes resumed last week. His message? “We coming for number nine. We coming for number nine for sure.”
