Kentucky blanked Youngstown State 31-0 at Kroger Field Saturday afternoon, improving to 3-0 (1-0 SEC) on the season.

The shutout was the first under Mark Stoops and the first for Kentucky football since a 42-0 victory vs. Miami (Ohio) in 2009.

The win moved Kentucky up in the updated Associated Press Poll, climbing one spot to No. 8 this week. Kentucky and Oklahoma State swapping places were the only changes to the Top 10 of the poll this week.

No. 8 Kentucky returns to action vs. Northern Illinois Saturday night at Kroger Field. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET. on ESPN 2.
