Kentucky Falls out of AP Poll for the First Time Since March 2014

After losing back to back games to South Carolina and Florida, the Kentucky Wildcats have fallen out of the AP Poll. The last time Kentucky wasn’t in the AP Poll was in 2014 but that team still made it to the National Championship game.

Kentucky is currently projected as a five seed in the NCAA tournament but Joe Lunardi has them playing in the region of death. The Wildcats still have plenty of opportunities to improve their seeding and to break back into the AP Poll. This could be a good thing for this team; they need something to motivate them.

Auburn leads the SEC teams at No. 19, followed by Florida at No. 20, and Tennessee at No. 22. The Wildcats have remaining games against all three.
