The Kentucky Wildcats grinded out a tough road win at Texas A&M Wednesday night in front of a sold-out crowd at Reed Arena.

Kentucky trailed 35-30 at halftime but outscored the Aggies 34-23 in the second half to win 64-58. The win improves Kentucky to 15-3 (5-1 SEC) on the season.

The win is the third Quadrant 1 victory for the Wildcats this season, who entered Wednesday’s game as the No. 10 team in the NET Rankings.

Sahvir Wheeler led the Wildcats in scoring with 12 points but also turned the ball over eight times.

It was Kentucky’s bench guys that saved the game for the Cats, specifically Davion Mintz and Jacob Toppin.

Mintz totaled 10 points, 8 rebounds, and three assists in the win. Meanwhile, Toppin finished with 9 points, 6 rebounds, and two assists.

The win was huge for Kentucky, considering they had lost close games on the road this season. Kentucky let opportunities slip away at late at Notre Dame and LSU earlier this season.
