Mark Stoops met with the media Monday afternoon for his first weekly press conference of the 2020 Kentucky football season.
Stoops fielded questions about Auburn preparation but took a moment to announce how UK will be honoring Chris Oats, who has been battling an undisclosed medical condition since May.
The UK coach says a different player will wear No. 22 each week to honor Oats, starting with junior linebacker De’Andre Square.
Square will wear No. 22 at Auburn Saturday, followed by Keaton Upshaw, who will wear the number in honor of his roommate when the Wildcats take the field for the first time at Kroger Field vs. Ole Miss.
