Kentucky Offensive Line Coach John Schlarman Passed Away

Kentucky offensive line coach John Schlarman has passed away following a two-year battle with cancer. He was 45.

The devastating news started circulating Thursday morning and was later confirmed by the University of Kentucky.

Schlarman was diagnosed with cancer prior to the 2018 season and continued to coach during the last two and half seasons while battling the disease.

Schlarman had been absent on the UK sideline since the Missouri game on October 24th. Schlarman’s last game on the UK sideline was Kentucky’s 34-7 win at Tennessee, where Mark Stoops and the team awarded him the game ball following the Wildcats first win in Knoxville since 1984.
