Kentucky Up to a 4 Seed in ESPN’s Latest Bracketology Update

Now that conference play is a couple of weeks into the schedule, NCAA tournament talk will pick up steam following every game.

Joe Lunardi, ESPN’s expert in Bracketology, provided his latest NCAA tournament update and the Kentucky Wildcats improved their seeding.

Going into last Saturday’s game vs. Alabama, Lunardi had Kentucky as a No. 6 seed in the East region. Since then, the Wildcats have improved to a projected No. 4 seed in the Midwest.

The Midwest region, the ideal location closest to home for Big Blue Nation this season, will be played in Indianapolis, Indiana. Kentucky fans would flood Indianapolis with blue if the Wildcats were to play that close to home.

Kentucky has opportunities the next three weeks to pick up quality wins as Arkansas, Texas Tech and Auburn, three straight Saturday opponents for the Cats, would all qualify as Quadrant-1 wins, according to the latest NET rankings.

Below is the latest update.

You can view Lunardi’s entire bracket here. Meanwhile, Andy Katz of NCAA.com has the Wildcats as a No. 4 seed in the West region.

Next up for the Cats is a road trip to South Carolina Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. ET. on the SEC Network.
