Kentucky Reaches Out to Morehead State’s Johni Broome

Kentucky has reached out to one of the top available players in the transfer portal.

Johni Broom, a 6-foot-10 double-double shot-blocking machine from Morehead State, entered the portal Monday. Kentucky and Memphis joined the long list of schools to reach out to the transfer Tuesday, according to Jeff Borzello of ESPN.

Broome averaged 16.8 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 3.9 blocks per game for Morehead State this season.

According to Borzello, Broome has heard from the following schools:

Gonzaga, Ohio State, Auburn, Texas, Texas Tech, West Virginia, Cincinnati, Iowa State, Houston, LSU, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, Florida, Virginia Tech, Indiana, Arkansas, Kentucky, Memphis, Wake Forest, Texas A&M, and Penn State.

According to Travis Branham, the entire Kentucky coaching staff has reached out to Broome.
