Kentucky Still Receiving Votes in the AP Poll Following Loss to Auburn

The latest AP Poll released Sunday, and to no surprise, Kentucky dropped out following a 29-13 loss to Auburn in the season opener.

The Wildcats, however, did receive four votes this week, good enough to be ranked No. 39, along with Washington and Louisville, who each received four votes.

The SEC has three of the top four teams in the poll (No. 2 Alabama, No. 3 Florida, No. 4 Georgia), and Auburn is up one spot to No. 7 in the country.

Despite wins, Texas A&M (No. 13) and Tennessee (No. 21) dropped in the rankings, in large part due to Big Ten and PAC-12 teams returning to the poll.

Mississippi State, who will travel to Lexington in two weeks, jumped to No. 16 after their upset win vs. LSU Saturday. The Tigers dropped to No. 20 following the loss.
